According to her record company, BEHM, a.k.a. Rita Behm, is "a one-in-a-million success story," which is an appropriate description of her rapid ascent to stardom. With only three years of prior musical experience, BEHM burst onto the Finnish pop scene in September 2020 with her breakthrough hit, "Hei Rakas." In its first few months, the song garnered a lot of radio play and millions of streams, eventually winning the Song of the Year Award from the Finnish Music Publishers.

An unbroken run of number-one singles, considerable broadcast, and the release of her debut album, "Draaman Kaari Viehättää," followed that triumph. The album helped her win a record-tying seven trophies at the 2020 Emma Gala Awards, Finland's version of the Grammys, and made her the only new act in the top ten most-listened-to artists on Spotify Finland that year.
