Vaasa Festival Nights: Yona Trio

Yona is a multi-talented artist who has recorded eight studio albums in total and has been featured on numerous other artists' tracks. She expertly combines several musical and lyrical styles to create everlasting, varied pop art.

Yona's most recent studio album, "Uni johon herään," was created in collaboration with the Tapiola Sinfonietta of the Espoo city orchestra and is the fulfillment of a long-held goal. The record also won the Teosto award and the prestigious Critics' Choice award at the Emma Gala.

Raskasta Joulua live at Vaasan Sähkö Areena

The Finnish band Raskasta Joulua has produced heavy metal versions of classic Christmas songs and carols. The Finnish phrase "Raskasta Joulua" translates to "Heavy Christmas" in English.  Guitarist Erkka Korhonen developed the concept back in 2004. Since then, it has become one of the country's most beloved Christmas concert tours!

This year’s line-up featured the following soloists: Antony Parviainen (Psychwork),
JP Leppäluoto (Charon, Northern Kings), Antti Railio, Noora Louhimo (Battle Beast) and Pekka Heino (Firetribe).
